Claudine O' Sullivan has got some serious skills. She is an Irish illustrator with a panache for drawing animals in her distinct style - she's currently based in London but flies all over the world for her art, working with deadly companies like MTV, WeTransfer and XOXO Magazine. Colour me impressed!

Hi Claudine, who is your favourite artist?

I have always loved Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and David Hockney, I'm also a big fan of Grayson Perry.

What inspires you?

I love drawing and would do it no matter what, the fact that I can consider it a job still amazes me! I thank my Mum and Dad for instilling a balance of creativity and work ethic in me, they've both inspired me in different ways. In my work itself I try to look at and represent things in a slightly different light. My drawings are never perfectly accurate representations, but for me that's part of the appeal.

What's your go-to coffee order?

Usually a cappuccino, but I'm also a hot chocolate lover!

Favourite 90's TV Show?

The Simpsons! or Friends. I can always watch any episode!

Go to Karaoke song?

Despite my atrocious voice I do a mean R Kelly - Remix to Ignition. So much so that I got sent flowers for my birthday last week and the card just had those lyrics in it.

Ha! Amazing. Most intense Netflix obsession?

I haven't that much time for TV to be honest! But I did get really into Making a Murderer craze and watched the whole thing in a day or two around Christmas. I love true crime podcasts and always listen to them while I draw - so that was a must see. Narcos and The Bridge are also worth a watch!

The Bridge

I love the Bridge! Saga is the BUSINESS. Most googled person (bar yourself)?

Oh that's a tough one, I'm not sure actually. I mainly tend to google random ingredients that I have in my fridge in hope that some magic recipe combining them all will pop up!

Guilty pleasure?

I eat chocolate almost everyday but I've given up feeling guilty about it!

Favourite place?

I've been so lucky to see a lot of places thanks to work - I'm in LA as we speak! But no matter what I love to come home to Dublin and do the Portmarnock/Malahide coast walk from my house. Its my favourite way to unwind.

Most treasured possession?

Photographs and song recordings, my original drawings and sketch books, my mum's jewellery and my engagement ring. Everything else can be replaced!
