Fingerprint Monsters
This print features twelve unique monsters who were cleverly constructed from Scottish artist Daniel Seex's finger prints...
"When I was a wee boy I used to lie awake and stare at the ceiling. All the lines and cracks and shadows would start to make faces and monsters. This is same kind of idea but with fingerprints."
Monsters included are varied, ranging from the mechanical (robot monster) to one which looks remarkably like Krang fromTMHT.
Illustrator Daniel Seex works primarily in pen and ink adding colour and texture digitally and often building a picture from multiple works. This allows his work to have a flexibility that is useful when it come to illustration. He has a taste for surrealism and deadpan humour and would cite contemporary illustrators such as Tom Gould, Jon Klasson and Yuko Shimizu as his major influences. He currently lives in Edinburgh with his partner Julia. When he’s not drawing on something Daniel is interested in trivia, vexillology (that’s flag geekery), history, chemistry and sharks.
This super quality print measures 30 x 34 cms and is printed on to 260 - 350 gm, hammered art paper and yes, it would look awesome above your couch.
