Show us yer Gaff!

As you may have ascertained - that show that I subtlety hinted to in my last blog post was RTE's Home of the Year. It was a delight to get involved with not least because of one of Ireland's loveliest producers* Debbie but because it's a flippin' great show. One of my all time favourite activities is having a sneak-peek on what's inside a home - I usually turn to interior magazines like Image Interiors and Living Etc or TV shows like Grand Designs but now we have our very own show! One that explores the glorious and totally individual interiors of Ireland's homes - and it was very cool to be part of that.

Sure the Bear and I were a little nervous at first - it's telly after all and we didn't want to come across as a pair of flutes but mostly we were nervous for our home. We've worked so hard on it - blood, sweat and tears doesn't half cover it and we love what we've created. So the idea of inviting criticism, not matter how constructive - is a nerve-wracking experience.
Ultimately it was lovely to see the gaff on TV and yes, it wasn't to everyone's taste but homes never are - that's what makes them YOUR HOME. A big fat thanks to all your lovely comments since and if you didn't catch it yesterday - you can watch it by clicking here.

Cheers!
