Wedding Fairs are not known for being especially pleasant, last year I dragged myself to a few due to our impending wedding but SWEET JESUS they were fairly horrific. TACK-O-RAMA. So when I heard about the Glitter Studio I was fairly sceptical, but then I learned that One Fab Day were organising it and I knew it was going to be different.

I popped along with a newly engaged pal this morning and it was so bloody beautiful. It was clear that each and every supplier at the fair was hand-selected by Naoise and Sharon. We meet so many gorgeous, passionate suppliers who put their heart and soul into making your day super special - here are a few of the ones that really stood out.

Moss Cottage

Jen of Moss Cottage is one of those people that you meet and instantly feel as though you've known her all your life. She is warm, funny and UBER passionate about what she does and what she does is own and run Moss Cottage in Dundrum. It's a beautiful shop, full to the brim with gorgeous gifts, quirky trinkets and a huge range of stunning wedding... well everything. It's a definite MUST for any bride to be.

After this we meandered throughout the rest of the fair; florals at Bella Botanica were particularly wild and wonderful, the stand for Horetown House was old-school cool, Wildflour Bakery had the most delicious looking cakes and the sweetest decorations in the form of hanging origami swans, the vintage dresses from the lovely gals at Dirty Fabulous were especially beautiful, Aga from White Tea Photography was showing off her crazy gorgeous photography and I got a sneak peek at Laura's Cunningham's new exciting venture Hippenings. A busy but deadly morning all in all.

Don’t let this deter you though – we want to encourage and help other not-so-handy individuals to throw caution to the wind and pick up that sledge hammer, but to do so with slightly bent knees and a hard hat firmly on your head.

April and the Bear blog attracts devoted readers from across the globe, we won 'Best Business Blog' at the Image.ie Blog Awards 2014 and were nominated for the 2014 The BOPS and The Blog Awards 2014 AND we were nominated for 'Best Online Shop' in the Irish Times Best Shops Competition 2015.
