You know those days where you look around your house and just DO NOT KNOW WHERE to start? Like, shall I tackle that precariously stacked pile of dirty dishes first OR explore/obliterate that growing tuft of funky looking mould in the corner of the bathroom? Hmm decisions, decisions.

How about neither? Yes I know they need to be dealt with but how about YOU don't do it. How about you hire someone else to? And I'm aware how ridiculous that sounds. A cleaner? Who I am Kim Kardashian?! These are precisely the thoughts I had when Hassle contacted me and asked would I like to try out their service, a service which involves booking a cleaner via their website to clean your gaff at a time that suits you.

Knowing full well I had a photo shot coming up - I signed up straight away. The website is bright and very easy to navigate and after a little to-ing and fro-ing (all my doing) I confirmed a cleaner for the day before the shoot. She arrived on time and was incredibly sweet and friendly AND she loved dogs. BONUS. She worked away downstairs and I worked upstairs and it was quite the thrill coming downstairs to a clean house THAT HAD NOTHING to do with me. I would definitely recommend giving it a go - they make it very easy and it just takes another 'to do' off your list. If you fancy giving it a try, pop by their website (www.hassle.com) and pop this special code aprilandthebear2016 in and you'll get ONE HOUR of cleaning for free! It's valid until the end of November with any booking of 3 hours or more. NOICE.

April and the Bear is an award-winning DIY/ lifestyle and interiors blog. Dublin-based interior enthusiast/ blogger and entrepreneur Siobhan Lam shares her own experiences of doing up her home in Portobello ... be warned it involves head wounds, bruised shins, fire engines and never-ending mountains of dust. Don’t let this deter you though – we want to encourage and help other not-so-handy individuals to throw caution to the wind and pick up that sledge hammer, but to do so with slightly bent knees and a hard hat firmly on your head.

April and the Bear blog attracts devoted readers from across the globe, we won 'Best Business Blog' at the Image.ie Blog Awards 2014 and were nominated for the 2014 The BOPS and The Blog Awards 2014 AND we were nominated for 'Best Online Shop' in the Irish Times Best Shops Competition 2015.
