Wreaths are one of those festive decorations that never go out of style. There's something totally timeless about them and yet when it comes down to it – it’s just a circle. Yes it's a circle of Christmassy loveliness but ultimately it is very simple, SO easy in fact anyone could make one. Right?
Sure let’s give it a go.
A Festive Wreath

What you’ll need:
· A wire circle
· Soft wire
· A pair of scissors
· Roll of twine
· Bunches of Eucalyptus leaves or Rosemary

1. First things first, get your utensils ready – the wire circle and soft wire aren’t necessarily things that you’ll find down at Dunnes so pop down to your local florist for them or if you’re living in Dublin, I’d highly recommend the Flower & Food Market in Smithfield – it’s deadly and you’ll find everything you need there. Decide on which type of greenery you’re going to use – the eucalyptus leaves are beautiful but the rosemary is slightly easier to use, smells divine and will definitely last longer…
2. Take 3 pieces of greenery (of slightly different lengths) and tie together at the ends with twine. Snip the ends of the greenery off and then place on the wire circle and attach to the circle at the tied point with the soft wire – wrap around the greenery stalks and circle to secure.

3. Tie more leaves together and tuck underneath the greenery already attached to the circle making sure to hide the twine part underneath the leaves. Attach this to the circle and continue these actions until the whole circle is full. Depending on how full you want the wreath, feel free to tie down more sections of the greenery so that the wreath is more ‘circle’ like, I personally like a more wild feel to proceedings but each to their own!

And hey, you just created your very own Christmas Wreath! These wreaths can be hung anywhere really they look beautiful on the staircase, on a door handle or even placed around some pillar candles for a laid-back festive table display.

Adding a dash of greenery to your decor is a startling simple way to make a unique festive statement this Christmas so give it a go and here's what the rosemary wreath looks like if you fancy one with an utterly delish aroma. Why not try out some different botanical combinations? We popped a few eucalyptus leaves through our rosemary wreath and it looked lovely - we'd love to see your efforts, so please share on Instagram and tag us!
Peace!
