Manly Wrapping

Our final gift wrapping post is about wrapping for that hirsute gentleman in your life - you know the one that backs away in terror from anything remotely sweet or nice. Yup that chap. Granted he may be only be getting a pair of socks due to one to many 'Just a couple of Christmas drinks after work' nights out but you still want it to look awesome under the tree right? RIGHT.

THE BURLY BRANCH WRAP

What you’ll need:

  • A sheet of kraft paper

  • A pair of scissors

  • Some yarn

  • Some fragrant herbs - I chose Rosemary cause it looks rad and smells delish

  • Small Branch

  • Cinnamon Rolls

1. First take a sheet of the brown kraft paper and wrap neatly around your gift. Then pick your chosen herb, take a fairly sizeable amount, 2-3 inches long should do the trick and place to the side.

2. Take your length of yarn and lay flat on your wrapping zone, pop your branch in the centre of the yarn ( the branch should be smaller than your gift) and then lay the two cinnamon rolls both sides of the branch. Tie the yarn around these and knot.

3. Place the rather delish-smelling bundle on top of the gift - in the centre and pulling the yarn string down the sides of the gift - tie tightly at the back. Then take your herb and slot neatly under the yarn.

4. Then take a black pen and write your fella's name directly onto the kraft paper - heart warming note optional. And there you have it - a burly but beautifully wrapped Christmas gift. As we edge closer to the big day the rosemary/herb will wilt slightly and change colour but this adds to the unique element of this wrapping.
