Downtime in Lahinch

Self-employment is great, you can start your working day at whatever time you want and you can convince yourself that re-watching episode 6, season 5 of Gilmore Girls is not procrastinating rather research for your next nostalgic art print. But with self-employment comes many not-so-great side effects - one being the sad realisation that holidays are pretty much out for the foreseeable future. I don't need to explain why.
Which is why my recent visit to Lahinch was especially delightful.
One of my dearest friends, we'll call her 'Wifey' lives in London and she suggested we take a small trip away 'somewhere in Ireland' while she was back in Eireann. "It'll be fun and cheap" she said. That was enough for me and besides I was having serious Wifey withdrawals and soon that somewhere became Lahinch as we decided we might as well become surf experts while away.
Safe to say it was a deliciously fun weekend away; with breathtaking views, the friendliest people I've ever meet, fantastic waves and epic sunsets. I know this has nothing at all to do with interiors or DIY but we all need some down time and I wanted to share mine.
From me to you: Lahinch Tips
Best Surf School: Lahinch Surf School (The white hut on the beach)
Best Food (especially for Veggies): Joes (on the corner of the main street)
Best Breakfast: Danny Macs (on the Main Street)
